Nike Air VaporMax Plus 'Stained Glass'

It was about this time last year that we welcomed back the Nike Air VaporMax Plus after a short hiatus, and ever since, the silhouette has been streaming with new colorways, from dark and dull to its signature vibrant and gaudy schemes. This Nike VaporMax Plus “Stained Glass” has a bit of both, with jet blacks working with striking red, aqua, and gold for one fascinating finish.

Void of any bold gradients, prints, or pattern work, the pair relies upon color positioning for contrast. Here, it’s jet black neoprene uppers and tongues hosting a slew of color bombs, from aqua liners, to golden-yellow rear pulls, tongue taSS, Swooshes, and vamp eyestays. Rear overlays of red work into bright crimson midsoles, with its inferior AirbaSS, and superior caging and tow caps arriving in a semi-translucent finish. Lastly, the pair’s “Stained Glass” title becomes more evident on the decorative Nike insoles that complete the design.
